The Episcopal Church
Grace Episcopal Church is a vibrant parish located in historic Kirkwood, about 15 miles from downtown St. Louis, Missouri. Our parish was founded in 1859 and is dedicated to serving God and our community through worship and the work of our ministries.
We are one of 42 parishes that make up the Episcopal Diocese of Missouri. “Making disciples – building congregations – for the life of the world” is the vision and hope of our diocese. Diocesan offices are located at Christ Church Cathedral in downtown St. Louis. The Bishop of our diocese is The Rt. Rev. Deon K. Johnson.
The Episcopal Church is comprised of 109 dioceses in 16 nations. As part of the Jesus Movement, the Episcopal Church is following Jesus into loving, liberating and life-giving relationship with God, with each other and with the earth. The Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church is the Most Rev. Michael Bruce Curry.
The Episcopal Church is part of the worldwide Anglican Communion, which traces its heritage to the beginnings of Christianity. Today the Anglican Communion comprises more than 80 million members in 44 regional and national member churches in more than 165 countries. At the head of the Anglican Communion is the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby.
