Family Faith Formation

Grace's Church School Ministry provides opportunities for children, youth and families to experience God's love, be inspired by God's word, and be transformed by God's spirit.
Then Jesus took the children in his arms, placed his hands on each of them and blessed them.
Mark 10:16
Covid-19 provided challenges for our church school program this year. Our church school teachers offered fun social distancing activities for our children and families this summer and fall when families could meet outside and practice social distancing. They even arranged for St. Nicholas to leave a treat for children on their doorsteps on St. Nicholas Day!
Winter and inside social distancing brings more challenges for our church school program. You and your family will still find new opportunities to grow through Grace’s Christian formation ministries.
We are distributing seasonal packets for children and families, offering opportunities to learn about the Bible, church history, Episcopal traditions and the importance of service to our community.
Seasonal packets are for children and their families to use at home. Each week is different and contains activities, coloring pages, Bible studies (based on the lectionary for the week), and weekly reflections for the family. Packets will be available for all seasons of the church year.
Each packet contains:
- An seasonal art or craft project
- An illustrated Children’s Moment for families to share a simple Bible Story
- A reflection to share with your family.
These programs will help families and children experience God’s love and grace until the day when we can meet in person again.
Watch our website for a new Kids iMessenger will be available soon.
