The heritage of music in the Anglican tradition is one of our church’s greatest gifts to the missionary and spiritual life of the Christian faith. Since the Sixteenth Century, well-trained choirs of children and adults have led Prayer Book worship throughout the Anglican Communion, and so it is today.
The Episcopal Church's liturgy and music, are among our most vital tools for evangelism, spiritual enrichment, and sustaining the faith. The music which the Anglican Church has used for centuries for Holy Eucharist, Matins, and Evensong, is a treasure for us to share with the world. Through its resources of singers and players, Grace Church seeks to serve our parish and our community and the Church at large.
Grace’s Choir Master and Organist is Phillip Brunswick. Our Director of Handbells is Ella Heigham.
The Parish Choir is vital to our music ministry at Grace Church. In the Anglican tradition, this choir specializes in traditional and contemporary repertoire. This adult choir sings for Sunday services and for special services throughout the church year. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m.
Children's choirs are wonderful places for children to contribute as ministry leaders in the parish. It is where they learn about music, language, Bible stories, and gain skills by working together as a team. They also function as fellowship for the youngest children, and members often form enduring friendships.
Rehearsal Times: St. Nicholas Choir for Boys: Wednesdays from 4:15 until 5 p.m. St. Cecilia Choir for Girls: Wednesdays from 5:15 until 6 p.m
