The Reverend Mary Haggerty

Mary Haggerty is a native of Los Angeles where she received her degree in psychology from Loyola Marymount university. In 1997, Mary earned a Master of Arts degree in psychology from Regis University in Denver. Mary recently completed her Master of Divinity degree at the School of Theology at the University of the South, fondly known as Sewanee. She was ordained to the priesthood on July 11, 2020 at St. Barnabas and started her work as priest-in-charge on July 15th. Mary has worked as a librarian, a parent educator, a volunteer program director, and has been active in social justice with the church for many years. Mary is also a certified Spiritual Director.

Mary and Bill Haggerty have been married for 40 years and have 4 grown children and 5 grandchildren. Bill’s work has taken them all around the country and overseas. Mary and Bill are happy to finally be settled in their adopted home of St. Louis. Mary is an avid cook and loves nothing better than to gather people around the table to feed them. In her free time Mary knits and reads and takes long walks in the beautiful parks around St. Louis.
