Sub Teams Formed

The discernment team met on Tuesday, July 26. After we participated in a team-building exercise, we covered the progress that has been made on developing a parish profile and collecting important information through surveys and listening sessions. These steps must happen before we can invite clergy to apply to serve as our next rector.

Dianne Casey leads the parish profile sub-committee (Kathy Davis, Mike Heyer, Mike Gibbons, Yvonne Johnson, Dick Entenmann, and Jessica Thompson). Brent VanConia is at the helm of the survey sub-committee (Lindsay Amen, Lesley Hoffarth, Jackie Johnson, Rachel Major, Janet Mika, Andy Miller, and Jenn Wethington). Shari Bonham serves as a resource to both sub-committees.

The profile and survey teams are coordinating the work of gathering and compiling detailed information about Grace Church–our history, who we are now, and our hopes and vision for the future. We can’t do this without the participation and input of every member. Every member should plan to complete the survey which will be online (with a paper version for those who need it). There will be facilitated listening sessions, too.

Grace is fortunate to have highly talented people carrying this work forward, and they are counting on every one of us to have a say in the process of seeking a new rector. One of the most important things each of us can do is to pray for God’s guidance as we discern our future.
