Who We Are

Our recent electronic survey and Holy Listening sessions have shown us that we are a “ready” church – one that is willing to do the work that it will take to grow both in numbers and individual spirituality. Our experiences with the Invite, Welcome, and Connect initiative have proven valuable in the past with God’s help and will be used as a basis for developing a strategy to reach new people and incorporate them into the life of our community.

We want to be together and support one another as we travel our individual faith journeys. Relationship building is a key ingredient in strengthening the opportunities for the Holy Spirit to move among us. It is vitally important to create opportunities to form meaningful relationships, to re-establish small groups and nurture friendships with Jesus’ help.

Although we are a community of faith that has strong clergy-centered tendencies, we recognize the importance of lay leadership development. Our Vestry is a mix of older established members and younger members with children. This is important as we make the necessary changes to attract families with children and youth to join our community. While we have many dedicated members leading ministry we recognize that we need to put more emphasis on developing and encouraging lay leadership. We want Jesus to be at the center of all we do and we need a leader that can help us realize this goal.
