Youth
Grace’s Youth Ministry offers programs for all middle school and high school students (and their friends). Highlights include church school, confirmation classes and our youth mission trip.
Confirmation
Grace Episcopal Church offers Confirmation classes for all baptized Christians interested in being confirmed, 8th grade and older. Our youth confirmation program includes classes, service projects, social events, and team-building retreats. Our program is designed to provide a safe place for youth to explore the breadth of our Christian tradition, to ask questions and express their doubts, and to discover what they truly believe.
Youth Group
- Service projects: be a Sunday school assistant, serve at Trinity Hot Lunch, package food to send to families around the world, be part of our youth mission trip.
- Fun social events: play laser tag, watch movies, carve pumpkins, play video games, meet new friends.
- Raise money for good causes: wash dogs, sell pastries, be a waiter/waitress at the Italian dinner, collect spare change.
- Find new ways to explore your faith: come to Sunday School, get confirmed, attend Diocesan youth events, be part of our youth prayer circle.
Youth Mission Trip
The highlight of our high school youth program is our annual mission trip. For more than 25 years, teens from Grace Episcopal Church have traveled within the United States to spend a week working and serving others. For the past several years, we have worked with Habitat for Humanity. With the help of several adult volunteers, the youth begin planning the trip early in the school year and hold fundraisers throughout the year to pay for the trip. The trip takes place the first week of June and is open to teens 15 -18 years old.
In June of 2023 thirteen youth and adults from Grace Church just returned from West Bend, Wisconsin, where they spent a week working for Habitat to Humanity. Learn more about their experience below.
