Here is a glance at upcoming events for middle school and high school students. For more information about our EYC ministry, please contact Janis Greenbaum, Director of Christian Formation & Communications.
Sundays at 9:30 a.m
Join us for topical faith discussions, fun activities and yummy breakfast treats each Sunday morning in the youth room. Classes overlap with our 10 a.m. service, with students joining their families in time to share Holy Communion.
Youth Scholarship Contest
Essays due January 15
Win a trip to Washington, D.C.! Christ Church Cathedral is sponsoring a scholarship contest to fund one youth and their parent or guardian to join their bus trip to Washington, July 12-16, 2018. The trip will include a visit to the National Museum of African American History and Culture and the Washington National Cathedral. Youth ages 8 to 18 are eligible. Submit a 500-word typed essay, responding to this prompt: What do you hope your parent or guardian will learn at the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Please include your name and contact info on the essay. Winners will be announced February 10. Send essays to cccprj1210[email protected] by midnight, Jan. 15.
Cathedral Youth Lock-In
February 9-10 / 7 p.m. - 9 a.m.
Christ Church Cathedral, St. Louis
Students in grades 6-12 are invited to enjoy a night filled with fun activities, worship, prayer and discussion. This is the biggest diocesan youth event of the year and tons of fun! Dinner and breakfast will be provided. Cost is $10 per student. Click here to register.
Mission Trip Fundraiser: The Elegant Italian Dinner
Saturday, Feb. 10 / 4:30 - 10 p.m.
All high school students and their parents are invited to be a part of the biggest social event of the year at Grace Church! Youth sell tickets, help cook, and serve as waiters at this fun and delicious dinner event. Set-up and training takes place on Thursday, Feb. 8, 6-9 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 10, 9-11 a.m. This is the primary fundraiser for our annual youth mission trip. Grace Youth Mission Trip
Iowa City, Iowa
All high school students are invited to be a part of this Grace tradition. Our group will travel to Iowa City to spend a week building houses with Habitat for Humanity. Be prepared for lots of hard work and lots of fun as we serve the community, learn new skills and make new friends. Cost of the trip is $150 per student (due March 4), with financial assistance available to anyone who needs it. Diocesan Youth Mission Trip: Gateway to Grace
All youth who have completed grades 8-12 are invited to join friends from around the diocese for a week of service, worship and fellowship among the people of St. Louis. The cost is $350 per student, with scholarships available. Click here to get more info and register.
1st Sunday of each month
4:15 - 6:30 p.m.
Youth members are encouraged to enjoy our monthly alternative worship event on the first Sunday of each month. We begin with crafts and activities, move to a short, family-friendly worship service, and end with a shared meal (and the food is really good!). Youth are welcome to help organize and lead activities and participate in the worship experience. Contact Janis Greenbaum to learn more about this ministry.
