“To You All Hearts Are Open”
You hear me pray these words each Sunday as we begin Eucharist together, “Almighty God, to you all hearts are open, all desires known, and from you no secrets are hid.”We are called to worship together, opening ourselves to the Word of God, being aware of the presence of Jesus Christ in our lives, responding to the nudges of the Holy Spirit. And at the end of every service, we are sent out into the world to make God’s call relevant.
It takes the financial support of many to live into God’s mission through Grace Church. While financial support keeps the lights on, it does so much more. Even more important, it changes lives.
- Your pledge will allow Grace to do Christ's work in our community and the world. As we feed the hungry, welcome the stranger, shelter the homeless, clothe the needy, educate at-risk children, assist the aging, strengthen the addicted, and support the heavy-hearted.
- Your support will enable Grace to conduct joyful worship, provide pastoral care, and support outreach ministries that enrich and transform lives.
- Your gifts will make it possible to offer expanding children’s and youth programs, adult education, small group activities and community fellowship, allowing us to grow in Christ’s love and in faith.
At Grace we have a long, time-honored tradition of making a financial pledge each year to the church. This is true in every Episcopal Church across America. Pledging is a way of making a commitment to God and Grace. It represents every member of your family’s thanks for God’s blessings and your continued belief of wanting to be a member of our church.Pledges represent about 75% of all the income we receive.
We encourage our members to prayerfully consider a proportional gift, pledging a percentage of your income to God’s mission at Grace Church. For those who are new to proportional giving, start out small, perhaps 2, 3, or 5% of your income, through prayer discern where God is calling you to be.Grace is completely dependent on its members to pledge sufficient money each year to keep Grace being a vital force in the community for both its members and those in need. Another important benefit of pledging is that it allows the Vestry to plan out the year’s programs with confidence. By filling out your pledge card, you are making a statement that says you can be counted on as member of Grace’s loving community.
