- About Grace
Church School for Children and Youth
Grace offers Sunday School each week during the school year beginning at 9:45 a.m. The classes overlap with our 10 a.m. worship services, with students returning to church in time for the Peace and Holy Communion. The classes are staffed by volunteer teachers who attend annual training sessions. Our nursery is located on the main floor of our church, near the elevator. All other classrooms are located on the lower level of the church.
We ask all families to fill out a Church School Registration form to help us provide a safe environment for all. The forms are available in the church office or from your child’s Sunday School teacher.
For more information about Grace’s Christian Formation programs, please contact Director of Christian Formation & Communications Janis Greenbaum.
Class Offerings by Grade:
- Infants – 4-year old toddlers: Nursery
- PreK (4-years and up) – 2nd Grade: Godly Play
- Grades 4-5: Deep Blue
- Grades 6-8: Weaving God’s Promises
*Our high school students meet on the first and third Sundays of each month at 10 a.m. for faith, food and fun.
Church School Committee
The church school committee is made up of volunteer teachers, assistants and anyone who would like to help plan special events for our children’s and youth ministries. This committee meets periodically throughout the year to share ideas and plan special events.
If there is an emergency during our Sunday School time, teachers will escort the children to the grassy area at the corner of Woodlawn and Madison Streets. Parents should pick up their children from that spot.
