Adult Christian Formation
Christian Formation is the lifelong process of growing in relationship with God, self, others and all creation.
The Story
Each Sunday morning, Grace is hosting a wonderful opportunity for adults to explore the Bible. The Story uses videos, books and casual discussion to better understand our connection to God’s story. The class meets Sundays at 9 a.m. in the LaVielle Conference room (at the end of the hall on the main floor). Please check current communications for breaks on holidays and summer vacation.
All are invited to explore your faith and enjoy fellowship. Click here to read more about this program, or contact The Rev. Todd McDowell.
Women’s Study Group
The Women’s Study Group meets to read and discuss books in Kean Library every Tuesday from 10 till 11:45 a.m. (following our 9:30 Holy Eucharist in Bethlehem Chapel). The group chooses from fiction, non-fiction and spiritual titles and enjoys discussing morals and religious themes in our modern world. The group is also very pastoral among its members and regularly prays for the people of our parish. All women are welcome to join this group.
Contact Jody Walker for more information.
Mystics and Meditation
This group meets every Thursday morning from 10:30 till 11:30. The morning begins with a brief reflection or verse, then a short discussion of the reflection if desired and/or it seems called for. The group then moves to 20 minutes of silent prayer (meditation), and then proceeds to lectio divina , which is a scriptural, spiritual, meditative reading. The morning ends with more discussion. All are invited to attend!
Contact Joan Emmert or Jody Walker for more information.
Women of Grace
If you are a woman who attends Grace Church, you are automatically a member of Women of Grace, which is part of the national organization known as Episcopal Church Women (ECW). This group connects all women of the parish to the whole Church through a program of worship, study, service, gifts and fellowship so that each woman may find her place in the parish and the mission of the Church. Our programs and charitable contributions are supported through an annual voluntary contribution of $10 per woman. Women of Grace meets monthly from September through May, usually on the second Tuesday of the month.
