...could you not watch with me one hour?
Deepen your experience of Holy Week by participating in the Watch in the Garden, a vigil before the Blessed Sacrament. After our Maundy Thursday celebration of the Last Supper, we take the consecrated communion elements down to an altar of repose in Bethlehem Chapel as we strip and wash our main altar in solemn preparation for Good Friday. A variety of prayer materials are provided for you to keep watch for an hour or two with our Lord as we remember the lonely night of his betrayal and capture.
The watch begins around 8:30pm on Maundy Thursday (April 1st) and concludes with a short Morning Prayer service at 7am on Good Friday, April 2nd. (Enter Bethlehem Chapel through the Columbarium.) Any may come at any time without signing up, but we need at least 2 present at all times, so please sign up in the Narthex, so we know we have the night covered.
NOTICE TO ALL HIGH SCHOOLERS: We no longer meet at Kaldi's on Sunday mornings, we meet downstairs in Youth Room #9.
Beginning tomorrow, March 14, the Book of Loving Remembrance will be in the Narthex, on the round table as you enter. Please consider remembering your loved ones, and help us beautify our church for the Easter season. We are grateful for all donations.
There will be a reception immediately following the Easter Vigil on Saturday, April 3. There is a signup sheet on the kiosk in Albright Hall for anyone who can help with this event. We are seeking help setting up, cleaning up, and making appetizers. Please consider helping us out!
