Hands on Kirkwood is a one-day mission blitz happening throughout our community on October 7. We encourage everyone to get involved! Here are some ways you can lend your hands to this project:

Donate new and gently-used winter clothing
September 3-29 at Grace Church

We have a collection box in Albright Parish Hall for your donations. Any donation made after September 30 should go directly to Kirkwood Baptist Church, 211 North Woodlawn, where a free store will be set up for HOK.

Only winter clothing items for men, women and children will be accepted, including:

  • Coats, jackets, sweaters, sweatshirts
  • Hats gloves, mittens, scarves
  • Boots, socks, jeans, sweatpants
  • Suits, shirts, winter dresses, blankets

Additional children’s items will also be accepted, including:

  • Children’s clothing, children’s books, toys, games
  • Car seats, booster seats, infant carriers
  • Child plates, chairs and play tables
  • Towels, blankets and bedding
  • Disposable diapers, baby blankets and layette items


Also accepted:

  • cell phones/cords: clear your phone memory & bag it with its charger cord
Make baby blankets and/or senior lap robes
Due October 7

Handmade items will be distributed through Nurses for Newborns and area senior centers.

  • Items can be crafted using cloth, knit or crochet
  • Style and size is your choice
