Phillip Brunswick with the Royal School of Church Music – St. Louis, 1998

20 years ago Grace Choir Master Phillip Brunswick brought the Royal School of Church Music Training Course to St. Louis. Since that time, numerous choristers and adults have attended the week-long summer program, learning new music and techniques that help enhance the music program here at Grace

This year the summer camp is honoring founders Phillip Brunswick and Br. Vincent Ignatius, OSB,  by commissioning an anthem, a setting of the Phos Hilaron, by composer Gary Davison.

RCSM is asking for donations to help fund the commission fee of the anthem. If you’d like to donate to the program that has contributed so much to the worship of Grace, go to http://www.rscmstl.org/anthemcommission. Please feel free to contact Weezer Weir with any questions.

This year’s course runs from July 17-23 at Todd Hall Retreat Center. All are invited to enjoy performances at the following worship services:

  • Saturday, July 22 / 4 p.m. / Evensong
    First Presbyterian Church, Kirkwood

featuring the debut of the brand new
    commissioned anthem!
  • Sunday, July 23 / 10 a.m. / Mass
    Cathedral Basilica, St. Louis
