The First Sunday of Advent

Sunday, Nov. 29

  • Holy Eucharist at 8 & 10 a.m.
  • Journey through Advent at 9 a.m.
    The Rev. Virginia Bennett leads a special journey through Advent, focusing on the Gospel of Luke. All adults and high school students are invited to join the discussion in LaVielle Conference Room.

Advent Quiet Day

Saturday, Dec. 5

  • From Repentance to Fulfillment, 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
    Confluence: A Center for Spirituality hosts an alternative to the craziness of the season. The Rev. Susie Skinner leads a quiet morning of meditation, reflection and prayer at Mercy Conference and Retreat Center on Geyer Road. Cost of this event is $25 (includes breakfast and snacks). The Second Sunday of Advent

Sunday, Dec. 6

  • Holy Eucharist at 8 & 10 a.m.
  • Journey through Advent at 9 a.m.
  • Children’s Sunday School at 9:45 a.m.
  • St. Nicholas Children’s Homily at 10:30 a.m.
    All children are invited to learn about St. Nicholas and his role in the church. Don’t forget to search for hidden Christmas treasure!
  • High School Youth Group at 11:15 a.m.
    All high school students are invited to enjoy our monthly faith discussion and activities. Our theme for Advent is “Unplug.” Bring a present ($10 or less in value) for a fun gift exchange.
  • Festival of Lessons and Carols at 5 p.m.
    The Choirs of Grace Church present this traditional service of music and readings to help us prepare for the Lord’s coming.

The Third Sunday of Advent

Sunday, Dec. 13

  • Holy Eucharist at 8 & 10 a.m.
  • Journey through Advent at 9 a.m.
  • Children’s Church School at 9:45 a.m.
    Our Sunday school students will help create Christmas treat bags and cards to give to our neighbors in need at Trinity Hot Lunch.

The Fourth Sunday of Advent

Sunday, Dec. 20

  • Holy Eucharist at 8 & 10 a.m.
  • Journey through Advent at 9 a.m.
  • Children’s Church School at 9:45 a.m.
  • Christmas Pageant Rehearsal at 11:15 a.m.
    Children of all ages are invited to be a part of our traditional Christmas Eve Pageant (at 4 p.m.). This is our only rehearsal… so please come if you want to be included!
  • Hanging of the Greens at 11:30 a.m.
    All are welcome to help decorate Grace Church for our celebration of Christ’s birth. Enjoy music, pizza and beverages while we make our final preparations for Christmas.

Christmas Eve

Thursday, Dec. 24

  • Holy Eucharist with Children’s Pageant at 4 p.m.
    Be a part of our traditional Christmas Eve worship service, which includes a special telling of the Christmas Story from the children of our parish.
  • Service of Carols at 9:30 p.m.
    Join the choirs of Grace Church as they lead this joyful prelude to our Choral Eucharist.
  • Choral Eucharist at 10 p.m.
    Celebrate the birth of Jesus at this traditional Christmas worship service with Holy Eucharist.
    * Please note: incense will be used in this service.

Friday, Dec. 25

  • Holy Eucharist with Carols at 10 a.m.
    Celebrate the birth of Jesus at this traditional Christmas morning worship service.

Sunday, Dec. 27

  • Holy Eucharist at 8 & 10 a.m.
    The Christmas celebration continues in our Sunday morning worship services. Our Christian Formation programs are on holiday recess.

The Second Sunday in Christmas

  • Holy Eucharist at 8 & 10 a.m.
  • Sunday Series at 9 a.m.
  • Children’s Church School at 9:45 a.m.
    The season of Christmas draws to a close with the arrival of the Magi and the Epiphany of our Lord.
