Grace on the Go heads to the races May 12

Horse races, that is. On Tuesday, May 12, we plan to carpool to Fairmount Park for a buffet in the Black Stallion ($13 each) at 11:30 a.m. We will be seated at tables from which we can watch the races, or we can enjoy the races from the grandstand—individual choice. Post time is 1 p.m. Other costs are $1.50 park entry fee and an optional race program for $3. Sign up in Albright Hall by Sunday, May 10. Plan to leave Grace at 10:45 a.m.

Lantern Festival on June 4 for Grace on the Go

All are welcome! On Thursday evening, June 4, we will visit the Missouri Botanical Garden to witness firsthand the Chinese lanterns that the Garden is displaying this summer. These lanterns are completely different from those exhibited in 2012. Food is available there. We will depart Grace at 5:30 p.m. to experience “Magic Reimagined.” Visit mobot.org to learn about them.

The discounted rate of $20 per nonmember requires us to pay in advance. Non-Garden member: Sign up in Albright Hall and pay no later than Sunday, May 17. Write check to “Grace Church” noting Lantern Festival on the memo line and put it in the Grace on the Go box or give it to the Boyles or Moores. Garden member ($11): Sign up in Albright Hall and make your own reservation online or by phone. Questions? Contact Moores, Boyles or Nicosias.
