suzanne guthrieEvery fall the Episcopal School for Ministry offers the Making Disciples Conference for the diocese on a theme related to living as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.

This year we welcome Suzanne Guthrie, presenting Living the Liturgical Year. The conference is Sat, Sept. 20, 2014 at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Town & Country. The cost is $20, which includes lunch. Registration opens at 9:00 a.m.

The great story at the heart of human experience is enacted by the church year after year in the liturgical cycle.

The Christian year unfolds through seasons of awakening and loss, insight and dark nights, death and resurrection, deification and return to the ordinary. This cycle trains your own soul to be in various states of consciousness of divine love.

With the help of slides, music and discussion, Suzanne guides us through the seasons of the Christian year and the mystical life toward union with God.

Suzanne Guthrie is an Episcopal priest, writer and retreat leader, living in Woodstock, New York.
