O God, in the course of this busy life, give us times of refreshment and peace;
and grant that we may so use our leisure to rebuild our bodies and renew our minds,
that our spirits may be opened to the goodness of your creation; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Director of Christian Formation & Communications

A prayer for the Good Use of Leisure (above) is one of my favorites in our Book of Common Prayer (p. 825). It reminds us of the importance of slowing down, focusing on ourselves and making time for God in our lives.

Summer is a wonderful time to put that prayer into practice. Grace offers many opportunities for you and your family to enjoy your summer and open your spirits. Drop in on our programs at Grace when you’re available or find us on your computer wherever you are. Of course, Grace Church will be here for you to worship every Sunday. We’re also planning some special events for all ages to keep you engaged in your faith.

Whether you’re staying local or traveling to far-away destinations, I encourage you to explore the many ways to include God in your summer plans.
