Holy Eucharist at the Church of the Transfiguration
On February 12, 2014

Our pilgrimage is off to a fabulous start and today was action packed. We started our day at the Church of the Transfiguration and celebrated Eucharist in Moses Chapel there (see pictures below). The alleluias being sung in the sanctuary next door heightened our spiritual experience. This church is in the custody of the Franciscans and we were able to see portions of the Byzantine mosaic which was restored by the Franciscans.
We are blessed that Gus, our guide, has such a strong Christian faith and the ability to associate Biblical stories with Israel today.
Stay tuned for highlights from Nazareth and the Church of the Annunciation.
