The Mount of Olives will be one of the stops on our Holy Land tour.

The Scriptures will come to life as Grace Church travels to the Holy Land February 10-20, 2014. Our 10-day pilgrimage will take us to Bethlehem, Galilee and Jerusalem, with an optional 4-day extension to Jordan.

The Rev. Todd McDowell will lead our journey. Fr. Todd has been blessed to visit the Holy Land on three previous occasions and looks forward to sharing this life-changing experience with us. Our tour is being planned by Lightline Pilgrimages, a UK company with 30 years of experience and connections in the Holy Land.

The trip begins on February 10, as we fly from St. Louis to Tel Aviv. We’ll stay at a guest house on the shores of the Sea of Galilee for three nights, with daytime excursions to sites including Mount Tabor, Nazareth, Cana and Capernaum.

Leaving the Sea of Galilee, we’ll travel to the heart of the West Bank, seeing sites including Jacob’s Well, the Church of the Nativity and the only 100% Christian Village remaining in Palestine. We’ll spend two night by Manger Square in Bethlehem.

Then our tour takes us to Jerusalem, where we’ll spend four nights. We’ll see the birth site of John the Baptist and of the encounter between Elizabeth and Mary. We’ll visit the River Jordan, the Mount of Olives, the Garden of Gethsemane and walk the Way of the Cross through the Old City of Jerusalem.

The tour can end on the tenth day with flights back to St. Louis, or you can extend the visit for an additional three days to visit Petra in Jordan, plus Kerak, Mount Nebo and Madaba.

  • The all-inclusive cost of the 10-day pilgrimage is $3,945.
  • The 3-day extension to Jordan is an additional $895.
  • A $500 deposit is due by October 14, with final payment due by November 18.
