Easter 2013 (240)Rejoice now, heavenly hosts and choirs of angels,
and let your trumpets shout Salvation
for the victory of our mighty King.
(BCP, p. 286)

Grace Episcopal Church celebrated the resurrection of our Lord through our Easter Vigil service Saturday, March 30 and our Easter Day services Sunday, March 31.

Our Easter Vigil service featured the baptism of Addie, Henry and Turner Ludbrook. Everyone enjoyed this special moment as the Rev. Helen Ludbrook, one of Grace’s Assisting Priests, baptized her grandchildren. Congratulations to the entire Ludbrook family!

Easter Sunday was highlighted with trumpets, flowers and an Easter egg hunt following our services. Thanks to everyone who participated and helped make this such a lovely day.

Before we arrived at these joyous celebrations, we marked the Passion of Christ through our Holy Week services. Foot washing on Maundy Thursday, an overnight prayer vigil, Stations of the Cross and all our services throughout the week helped us remember the ministry of Jesus and the importance of God’s sacrifice for us.

We continue to celebrate the risen Lord at Grace Church throughout the Easter season.

We have lots of pictures from Holy Week, the Easter Vigil and Easter Sunday. Please click on the arrow in the middle of the pictures below to view our slide shows. To view the pictures full-screen, click on the icon with four arrows in the lower, right corner of the pictures.
