In the classrooms, parents will receive a packet of information about Church School that will include a 2012-2013 Church School calendar and teacher information. Please meet the teacher(s) that morning and be aware that parents are asked to sign children in to their classrooms every Sunday.

Download a Church School Registration form and return it by Sunday, September 9. Forms can be brought to your classrooms, mailed to the Church Office, dropped off at the Church School box at the church, or faxed to: 314.821.7404.

We have a few schedule changes and transitions this year which we are excited about. For ages PreK-3rd grade we will still offer the ever-popular “Godly Play,” the 4-5th graders will be working with a fun new curriculum that will deepen and build their knowledge of the Bible and Biblical times. Grades 6-7 will continue to make the “Journey to Adulthood” with the well-received Rite 13 program. This year the 8th graders will meet once a month for confirmation preparation on Sunday evenings (they are also welcome to be a part of the Rite 13 class on Sunday mornings). High school students will continue to gather monthly after the 10 a.m. service (the time they chose!).

2012-2013 Offerings by Grade:

  • PreK-Kindergarten- Godly Adventurers – Room 3
  • Grades 1, 2, 3 – Godly Explorers – Room 5
  • Grades 4-5 – Bible Discovery– Room 1
  • Grades 6-7- Rite 13 – Room 15
  • Grade 8/Confirmands- Monthly Classes – Sundays @ 5 p.m. (see Confirmation Calendar)
  • Grades 9-12 – Monthly Gatherings after the 10 a.m. service (see Youth Calendar)

And we’re not leaving out the adults! Each Sunday morning we will be meeting in the LaVielle room with The Story, a series of readings, videos and discussions to discover how God’s story is connected to our story. 8th graders and high school students are also welcome in this class.

All are welcome to join us… be sure to invite others to the Start-Up Sunday Picnic… from grandchildren, to friends, and neighbors! This is a great opportunity to introduce newcomers and new families to Grace. I hope to see you then!
