Grace Episcopal Church celebrated 20 years of music ministry with Phillip Brunswick on Sunday, April 29. Past and present church members thanked our organist and choir master for sharing his talent and faithfulness with our parish for so many years.

Former rector the Rev. David Fly preached and guest musicians joined Grace’s choirs to honor Phillip’s special anniversary. The congregation came together after the 10 a.m. service for a fabulous reception in Albright Parish Hall, where choir members and friends paid tribute to Phillip with songs, videos and gifts.

If you have a memory of Phillip you’d like to share or a message you’d like to send him, leave a reply in the box at the bottom of this page. We’ll post the messages as they come in.

We have two sets of pictures of the days’ events. The first is from our 10 a.m. worship service; the second is from the reception. To view the slide shows, click on the arrow in the middle of the big pictures below.

As a fellow musician, I’m so thankful to you Phillip for being such a positive force in my life. You have an uncanny ability to motivate and to bring joy. Although many years have passed since we met at the Mississippi Conference, know how thankful I am for you. Congratulations, although a bit late, on your success at Grace as you have blessed and continue to bless. “When in our music, God is glorified…” Amen!!
