Grace’s Creation Care team recently harvested radishes and carrots from our “Gardens of Grace” and donated the fresh produce to Circle of Concern, a food bank in Valley Park.

Sue Nixon and Sabine McDowell harvested and delivered the veggies in early May. Organizers at the food bank were thrilled to accept the fresh produce. Grace member Barb Woehle has been a volunteer at Circle of Concern for years. Barb greeted Sue and Sabine and took them on a tour of Circle’s facility.

The Creation Care team has plans to plant bush beans, peppers, yellow squash, zucchini, cucumber, basil, tomatoes and lettuce in our gardens this year… all to benefit local food banks.

Thanks to Sue and Sabine for their green thumbs and generous spirits! And thanks to Sabine for sharing these pictures with us.
