Episcopalians around the country choose Lent as the season to especially remember and support Episcopal Relief and Development.  During Lent, we are invited to reflect and consider how we might follow Christ in healing a hurting world, as well as committing to making daily offerings toward this mission.

You will find Hope Chest boxes in the Narthex throughout Lent to receive your daily offerings; put something in each day to thank God for your blessings.  On April 15 (the Second Sunday of Easter) at both our morning services, we will pray for those who are suffering worldwide and we will have an ERD in-gathering to return our daily offerings.  (You may also choose to write a check, payable to Grace Episcopal Church and noted “Lenten ERD”.)

Our combined gifts will then be sent to ERD as one check from Grace Episcopal Church.  Watch the May edition of The Messenger for the combined total of our gifts. Remember to thank God each day for all our blessings, “for it is in giving that we receive.”  Together we can make a difference to “heal a hurting world.”
