Grace on the Go members journeyed to Pere Marquette State Park to catch a glimpse at bald eagles in the wild. The Feb. 21 trip began with an indoor program at the park’s visitor’s center, followed by an observational drive with several stops to view the wintering bald eagles. Guides explained how to distinguish between immature and mature bald eagles, what the birds eat and why they spend their winter months in this Illinois habitat.
