The Choirs of Grace Episcopal Church invite you to Advent Lessons and Carols and a special Advent Dinner on Sunday, Dec. 4, beginning at 4 p.m.

Our special guest at the event will be The Rt. Rev. Stephen Dokolo, Bishop of Lui. Bishop Dokolo made the long trip from Africa to Missouri to attend our Diocesan Conference in November. He is visiting many parishes in our diocese while he is here.

This is Grace's 17th Annual Candlelight Service foretelling the coming of the Savior. The service is based on the ceremony which originated at King’s College – Cambridge. Its strength and appeal comes from the repetition of a familiar tale, interwoven with carols and hymns of the season. The service here at Grac

e uses eight readings which trace the prophesy of Christ’s coming, from the fall of Adam through Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem.

Immediately following the service, you are invited to join us for an Advent Dinner in our parish hall. Our menu includes:

  • Toasted Ravioli
  • Beef or Veggie Lasagna
  • Italian Salad
  • Desserts

The meal is $5 per person or $20 max per family. Proceeds from the dinner go to scholarships for the Royal School of Church Music Summer Camp.

The Choirs of Grace Episcopal Church are led by organist and choir master Phillip Brunswick.

Please join us for this wonderful service in preparation of our Lord’s coming. Use the reply form below to RSVP. Please include your name and how many will be attending. You can pay at the event.

Prepare the way of the Lord.

Make a straight path for the One who comes.

Watch and wait, on the tiptoes of your soul.
